I've had it' happen a few times, I have a idea of what it was and found out about it, I learned not to fall for it after my research on it, I did give up a good amount doing so, it' was a eye opener for me, I am now more careful and cautious about the stuff online about the post here I am posting, I am wondering your thoughts on it and that's all.

Members connected over the widespread and personal topic of online scams and hacking, sharing stories of losing money, having identities stolen, and dealing with fake calls, emails, and social media accounts. Several members offered practical tips like checking sender email addresses for misspellings, using two-factor authentication, placing credit alerts with major bureaus, and using security software like Norton 360. A recurring theme was the importance of trusting your instincts, contacting your bank directly when something feels wrong, and remembering that if something sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

I keep getting these emails saying I owe money for a toll road. They say they are going to contact the DMV, Have me put in jail, and they are going to hit my credit. I know it's a scam because I have never driven on a Toll Road!

It's probably the worst it's ever been unfortunately.

It's not only scammers, but hackers as well. I've been hacked a couple of times, so I try to stay away from online purchases unless necessary. If they have the skill to do either then they should be able to get a real job.

@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member sadly, I do think that some of these people are being paid by companies that are trying to scam people. I listen to too many podcasts, and one series was about people in Thailand being tricked into thinking they were going to get good jobs. When they got to their place of employment, it was like a detention camp. Their passports were taken away, and their purchases they had to buy it from a company store. It is scary to think something like this is going on.

I got a phone call from the bank about me wanting to take out a loan. I never applied for a loan. Someone has been trying to take one out in my name,.
