I am now 73 years old. I was diagnosed at 7. I now try to use Nile to keep track. I ha e not been counting, but 6 were recorded over a period of months, I do biw stress abiout if and when I will have, I normally am good about keeping track of my Triggers, which I know to avoid.
zuI saw my Neurologist today. Beause I have Partial Awareness or Absence Seizures, she dow not expect that I would remember or know how long a seizure was, a opposed to the confuasion afterwards. The App I have from the Epilepsy Foundation, Nile, is a site to record if you missed meds, and if you have seizures and can give some descriptions. Tonight I did not take them until 11, but know how to get it back to normal.
U can mark them down with a (?) behind it and explain why ur not sure and how u were feeling that makes u wonder if u’ve had one or not. I usually either beat myself up or chew my mouth so badly that there’s no question if I’ve had one or not. But I’m having aware seizures, it’s usually how I feel when I come out of it
I'm aware enough to know if I've had 1 now and will put it on my notes online.
The only way to get some idea of how many or whether you really are having any or not is to work what your focal aware seizures are (auras) depending on what type of epilepsy you have and where your seizures come from. The area in the brain they come from will give off different auras.
