I am curious and wondering if this could be, I am not sure if a person who has the condition you have or I have can become a doctor or such anything else in the medical system or field can do that, curious and wondering is all, what are your thoughts and if so have you met anyone that does have the condition you have,a neutral post and?

I knew a gp with epilepsy. He was fine as long as he only worked on a strict schedule. He worked 9-5 and he didn’t work in emergency as that’s nothing but shift work.

I did have a neurologist who also had epilepsy when mine first started. She stopped practicing though.

There is nothing holding back a person from getting into medicine, whether an MD, Nurse, or other. When applying to Medical School or Nursing School it's not asked, and when you look at / work with someone, you don't say this person looks like they have epilepsy (unless they are having a Grand-Mal at the time) so I'm not going to let them touch me. The only thing holding them back is themselves.

HI Dave, I had a situation one time .I done kids local football for a couple of years. And one day I was talking to another manager. And he told me he had epilepsy and he was 36.I told him exactly how his thought process worked .hyper active thought process. He grabbed me and thanked me.He said o seen all these SPECIALISTS and not one of them told me what was going on in my mind .And the look of relief in his face.He looked as if he had been waiting for this for a long time .
He couldn't thank me enough. I was happy to think I had helped someone understand their epilepsy and how to cope with it.
