Been with my neurology department over 30 years. No need to go over my history time and again.
I am aware of what is likely to cause me to have seizures, and ever since being diagnosed (in 2000), I have adapted my lifestyle to reduce the severity/number of seizures that I suffer. I don't let my epilepsy "rule my life..." or prevent me from getting out and enjoying new experiences. I am aware of my limits.
I have several issues as I have grown older. I try to meditate. To get rid of discomfort!
I stay aware of how likely I am to have a seizure but I don't dwell on it. My doctor does ask about my seizure problems whenever I have an office visit.
I no longer think about it much. Not having as severe as did in my past, I'll never forget I have it and what I've been through. Just am not as concerned as when I did have them more severe and often.
