😔
I’m the same way Mary I think I’m making sense when I try to talk afterwards, but I’m not. My brother called and he said I was saying dog said he spoke I talk. Little things like that. I make absolutely no sense at all but to me I’m making perfect sense. I too don’t remember what I did anywhere up to about a hour b4 and I usually sleep for 3 hrs afterwards but I will try to text ppl now to get some help with the dog cuz along with making absolutely no sense at all, I slur and sound drunk plus it hurts trying to talk when ur cheeks and tongue are chewed up. I should be getting implanted teeth soon, and they’re gonna take the cheek scar buildup at the same time. But I’ll definitely ask if they can do something to help me from chewing up my tongue and hopefully cheeks as well. I can’t get dentures as they usually just snap or break during a seizure and I don’t want to keep getting new ones ( too expensive), so I’m gonna get implants. My dr a few years back put me on some medication and I was falling, passing out and ended up breaking bones, teeth and cutting my face up along with a couple black eyes. I begged to be weaned off it and he would increase the dosage instead of lowering it. It was a nightmare. So I have to get my teeth fixed. The last TC I had, I did laundry and don’t remember doing it. I had dishes in the sink, but the water was ice cold by the time I was lucid enough to get out of bed. I know what u mean by not being able to talk properly or remembering what happened b4 and after a seizure. And yes, it can be very scary and stressful
Long story so you can skip if you want, I won’t mind. I bit my tongue so bad that I could put my teeth down into the holes. I was working in the back of beyond, so I didn’t go to the hospital. My doctor just told me to swish my mouth with hydrogen peroxide. Not the best treatment I know, but all I had on hand. I was foaming at the mouth so badly I looked like I had rabies. I didn’t eat solid food for three weeks. Good thing mashed potatoes are my fav.
sometimes I fall
When I fall I get up
when I get up I dust myself off
when I’m dusted off I start over
when I start over
sometimes I fall
We are all Epilepsy Warriors . We are fight to control our Epilepsy 24/7 all year and every year . That. Is once we are diagnosed with this condition.
The best we all can do , is cope with it the best we all know how.
I can be very confused if I ignore my Triggers. However, the other night, I had to urinate desperate; I have a walker, but had difficulty finding the Bathroom and Toilet. They are not far from ,my bed. I do have aLifeline button, which would not help with seizures.
