I’m in the process trying to get it now. I’ve gotta go in front of a judge on the 2nd of December to see if they’ll approve it or not.

It took me 4 years. First I applied b/c of epilepsy. Rejected. Then epilepsy and rheumatoid arthritis. Rejected. Then I applied for epilepsy, rheumatoid arthritis, and stroke. I got it finally! The third time I actually had a hearing and a lawyer.

RandySherman you were lucky most have to go to court to prove it the first time it took three years for me. It maybe because I was younger then most people that need the disability. After my brain surgery they wanted me back to work immediately. At that point I needed speech therapy and so much more before I was back to normal. I am now 11 years seizure free. I am in college now.

@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member , I do consider myself lucky. I didn’t have to appeal nor get help from a disability law firm
