We all know we can't cure or change epilepsy, So due to losing most of my teeth due to losing them when my ex knocked my front teeth out, then phenytoin side effects caused to lose more, My wish is to have them back by inplants so I can look better and eat easier and healthier.

Nothing. I am thankful for everything that God has given me, and what awaits me.

Babs, I can only imagine how much strength it’s taken to keep moving forward after everything you’ve been through. Having a healthy smile isn’t just about appearance . it’s about confidence, comfort, and the ability to enjoy food without pain. You absolutely deserve that restoration, both for your health and for the joy of feeling like yourself again.

If you haven’t already, you might look into dental charity programs, hospital-based dental schools, or even medical grant applications.. sometimes they offer low-cost or free implant services for those in need. It could also help to speak with your doctor or epilepsy nurse, as they may know resources for patients who’ve had treatment-related tooth loss. You’ve already shown the courage it takes to rebuild. now it’s about finding the right doors to knock on.

It's completely understandable to want to improve your quality of life, especially when it comes to something as important as dental health and appearance. Your desire for dental implants is valid - they could help with both nutrition and self-confidence, which are important aspects of overall wellbeing.

Here are some constructive steps to consider:
• Consult with your neurologist about your current medications and possible alternatives to phenytoin if side effects are still a concern
• Discuss with a dental specialist who has experience working with epilepsy patients
• Consider working with a nutritionist to develop easier-to-eat meal plans in the meantime Remember that while working toward health goals like dental implants, it's important to be kind to yourself along the way. Focus on small, achievable steps and celebrate progress rather than perfection. Your health journey is unique, and it's okay to take time to address both physical and emotional needs.
