Temperature changes, both hot and cold, can trigger seizures in people with epilepsy. When the body experiences extreme temperatures, it creates physiological stress, which is a known seizure trigger. This is particularly concerning in very hot and humid conditions like you're experiencing in Maryland. To help manage temperature-related triggers:

• Stay in air-conditioned environments during extreme heat
• Stay hydrated as dehydration can also trigger seizures
• Avoid sudden temperature changes (like going from very hot outdoors to cold indoor spaces)
• Plan outdoor activities during cooler times of day
• Wear appropriate clothing that helps regulate body temperature

Hi KimKim , everyone is different to Heat . It’s Humid where I live also. But I never had any issue with the heat. I’m always looking forward for the hot days. I don’t like winter. And it doesn’t trigger my seizures, I just not big with winter and snow season.
