Today was my second session for physical therapy and it included a part where I was asked to stand on my left foot with my right foot wrapped behind my left leg. My balance is getting better. I did some research on what foods I should eat to improve my arthris in my legs. The research told me I was prehaps not getting enough protein. I now drink Ensure or eat a high protein nutrium bar every other day.
Today I had a different therapist and she let me use a finger to lean on so I'm happy. 😁
@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member I have gone through left temporal lobe surgery due to the seizures taking place over the many years. Still have issues but there has been some improvement. There were times when balance has been off but usually that has been when trying to walk after experiencing an absence seizure. I've learned to stay sitting for 1/2 to an hour as it's much easier to manage.
@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member , I can imaging a surgery worsening your balance.
My present balance isn’t the greatest . If a cop asked me to walked one foot in front of the other, I would Fail . Maybe even put in jail , thinking I was drunk.
My cane is being delivered today.. i am not abl o steip up on a curb without assistance. Sometimes i walk in my home bend over.
