It’s always normal to feel normal like that on days in and days out. Everybody has some days where they just don’t feel good emotionally and it can be for no reason whatsoever but even if it where so what? Everybody is different and there’s nothing wrong with being different but if you do feel you need to talk to someone then message whoever or go to whoever you feel most comfortable talking to about this. Like I said nothing wrong with being different always be yourself and not someone else.
Yes it is normal, but sometimes it's not because of epilepsy but because of the medication. Like me who is taking keppra and have terrible thoughts or even of harming myself, I'm told it's because of my medication.
Yes, I suffer emotional dysregulation, I'm hyper-emotional, and both my epileptologist and psychologist point to my RTL involvement. I was not like this before seizures, I could always control my emotions, but now I could burst down into tears over the dog images in a freakin' ASPCA commercial. Lamictal and Klonopin help, as they are also used as mood stabilizers, but meds can only do so much. I get the most valuable help from my psychologist who understands epilepsy and has worked with patients like me before and gives me the tools for self-intervention when I feel it coming. I hate these "inconveniences" caused by epilepsy more than the seizures themselves.
There are a few different reasons for mood change.
There is the main reasoning after being upset , and depressed .
There the medication side effect that can cause mood change ( if your med(s) have that inside effect. )
Then there are the possibility of your seizures hitting that part of your brain where your emotions are located.
Yes, it's completely normal to experience mood changes when living with epilepsy. The stress of managing the condition can make emotional ups and downs more frequent or intense than usual. These mood swings are so common that they're one of the top 10 most discussed topics among people with epilepsy.
