While food preferences are personal, it's important to note that with epilepsy, maintaining regular meal times and consistent eating patterns can help manage seizure control. It's positive that you're following a structured fasting diet and monitoring caloric intake. The key is to maintain stable blood sugar levels throughout the day.

Eating home-cooked meals, as you prefer, is beneficial since you can control ingredients and portion sizes. When trying new foods or eating at restaurants, be mindful of any triggers that might affect your condition, such as certain food additives or caffeine that some people with epilepsy find problematic.

Remember to take any anti-epileptic medications with food if prescribed that way, and stay well-hydrated throughout the day, especially when fasting.

I like most types of foods, but I am spoiled bc my mom was an awesome cook. I miss Mom & her cooking.
On the other hand, my aunt brought over a casserole & also my friends mom did on another time. My dog, a 110 lb German Shepherd sniffed them & walked away. 🤢He wouldn't dare eat it. After that point, that was a test for food brought over.

I love trying new foods, but like u Dave I prefer homemade. Generally it’s less fat or greasy, way less processed and preserves. I also love Greek food- especially the lamb and Greek salad Yum!! I also like Arabic food as long as it’s not too spicy. I basically like all kinds of foods except for liver, heart, tongue 🤢 or ham hocks. I enjoy venison and have even had bear meat which I didn’t particularly enjoy; but that’s what was cooked for me, so I ate it anyway Swan and alligator are good too.

I like a variety of food, as long as it's in the the list of what can have. Types of milk also, being lactose and gluten allergic really have to watch it. Thankfully there is good things out in those categories.
