Auras are focal seizures. Which is what I have often resulting in my diagnosis as epileptic. I have only had one seizure in my life that has made me unconscious and that was 8 years ago. I have auras almost monthly. As for the medication I mentioned I am no longer taking it. The side effects were not favorable and I am just much more cautious of hydration and sleep during my cycle.

I am sure there may be some Meds that might harm a baby while you are pregnant. I do not know which they are, or what they do. However, listen to your Doctor.

Mandy,
I do not know that drug you mentioned. I know when I had my Period I had to watch it. I became more volnerable to having seizures. Isn't an Aura what happens to tell you a seizure may happen? Are they themselves seizures?

Good post and? No I haven't had that med, but get peoples opinions here which is ok with that, then go to your doc about the post here and go from there, good luck with your condition and situation at hand, my opinion
