Members responded to the question about mood changes while living with epilepsy, widely agreeing that emotional shifts are a real and common experience tied to multiple causes. Several members pointed to medication side effects, particularly Keppra (nicknamed 'the Rage Drug'), as a major trigger, while others noted that seizure activity, brain location, and frustration with public ignorance about epilepsy also play a role. A recurring theme was finding comfort in community support, with helpful coping strategies including yoga, walks, prayer, devotionals, cuddling pets, switching medications, and alerting loved ones about side effects.

@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member I’m sorry to hear how your mom Felt . I can’t relate with your experience but I have heard many similar stories from other people. It really upsets me hearing those people going through bad experience. Family and friends. For the reason of fear with epilepsy.
