@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member I do agree that Medic Alert is pricey. I have always been able to engrave the bracelet with whatever I needed, and mine had to be changed often. I didn't have to have any notes from my doctor to get a bracelet.. I was not charged for engraving. You do have to pay a fee, but I get mine for 3 years, and there is a discount when you pay for 3 years. I would give them a call because I know I donate for free Medic Alert bracelets or necklaces every year. Do the Amazon medical bracelets come with a live person on the other end to help medical personnel or the ability to call and change the information as your medications change?

go 2 amazon. theyre cheap and you can put whatever you want on it. Sorry 2 say but the Medic Alert foundation charges 2 much wont let you put what you want on it and charge monthly fees. Oh and you need your doctor 2 fill out a form. With amazon no monthly fees, no form 4 your doctor 2 fill out and you can write anything you want. you only pay for the bracelet, necklace etc.

If cost is a major concern, you can also print free medical ID cards at home to keep in your wallet as an alternative temporary solution while pursuing a more permanent option. Medical IDs are an important safety tool - over 95% of emergency responders check for them during emergencies. The ID should include your full name, epilepsy diagnosis, any medications you take, and emergency contacts. Having this information readily available helps ensure you receive appropriate care during a seizure.
