I was just wondering if anyone feels weird for days before having a seizure? I haven't felt right since Wednesday afternoon. I've been having spasms in my left leg and left hand every now and then. Just like forceful spasms. I just don't feel right and it's horrible as I'm anxious going anywhere as I'm waiting for a full on seizure or something. What do you do when you feel like this for more than 24 hours?

Lydia, not myself, I know that if I don't take my meds all the time, I may go a short time, but bang, I will have a seizure, and knock on wood, I have been seizure-free for 46 years

@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member , In February 2024 I had gotten really tired & was fixing to go lay down but was talking to my Mom first & I was standing up & told her that I was starting to feel weird, in what way I don’t remember exactly how I felt weird but soon after that my speech began sounding like a special needs person (I don’t mean any disrespect to anyone when I say that, it’s the only way I know how to describe it) & after that the symptoms started of a variety of different things. That particular seizure was very different for me because I’m not usually that alert during my seizures but I can tell you everything that happened during that one. You might could contact your doctor’s nurse about what’s going on & see what they think. I hope you get better soon. Take care. Your friend in Texas, Becky

@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member The weird thing I've seen plenty of people who are not even diagnosed with epilepsy who I swear it looks like they just zoon out but there not even diagnosed. Older people do it a lot.

I tried to explain this feeling to a neurologist and she thought I was nuts. The feeling and seizure are real!

I had this happen for months when I came off Tegretol and changed to Keppra. But yes, it is very possible to have what are essentially pre aura symptoms that last a few days that can then either progress or just go away.
