Living alone with absence seizures can be challenging since these seizures can occur without warning and may go unnoticed. Absence seizures typically last 10-20 seconds, during which you might appear to be staring or daydreaming. While they don't usually cause physical injuries, it's understandable to be concerned about living independently. There are several housing options available for people with epilepsy, including:

- Supported living communities where you maintain independence but have staff nearby
- Shared housing with other adults who have epilepsy
- Independent apartments with emergency alert systems
- Housing complexes with on-site support services

Consider reaching out to your local epilepsy foundation or social services department to learn about specific housing programs in your area. They can help connect you with appropriate housing options that match your needs while allowing you to keep your kitten companion.

You might need a supervision specialist. Have you ever been to London, ON? I had my internal EEG test there. They also do supervised EEG tests. It’s an amazing clinic
