How can I manage sensitivities while taking Lamictal (lamotrigine)?

Lamotrigine is commonly prescribed for managing different types of seizures, including tonic-clonic and partial seizures. The medication needs to be taken consistently and the dose is typically increased slowly to help prevent side effects. To help manage your medication routine and sensitivities:

1. Take Lamictal exactly as prescribed, at the same times each day
2. Keep track of any side effects or sensitivities
3. Ask your healthcare provider about specific strategies for managing heat and sun sensitivity
4. Consider keeping a food diary to identify trigger foods
5. Discuss with your doctor if your sensitivities are significantly impacting your quality of life - they may be able to adjust your treatment plan

Remember to never adjust your medication dose without consulting your healthcare provider first.
