I know I find it harder to find a true in person friend with a limiting social life due to having epilepsy. I think meeting one
you got to learn some about here and not have to surprise them with. Also possibly be easier to associate with that friend knowing they may be more understanding and helpful. Since both you and that new friend have at least one thing that can be a serious problem in life.
I would love to do something like that ( like make shirts with a few people in the friend group and every one noing what you are going through it is really nice to be a part of this and getting to know people that are going through the same thing as I am
I've thought about it, but never did. I get out w/ friends every now & then. Infact, a few of my HS friends are getting together tomorrow night.
Sorry to hear about your situation you're having right now! There are a couple things that may help not total healing and may sound strange it depends on how you look at it. Them being, try your best not to ruin a day thinking of a bad yesterday. Enjoy life the best you can knowing there are problems at times, try your best to prepare for it. I see life to be a maze, yes I try my best to get thru it , I know there are hard times so called "dead end" try your best take a few steps back and attempt a different turn. Knowing all mazes do have an end that you can make a great opening of happiness by not giving up. I'm at a dead end right now. I say this since I lost my only in person friendship service dog last April and I'm alone in the city with no friends or family. At this "dead end" I'm not giving up I'm attempting different ways. Doing this, in this chat room, to find friendship is one of those turns for me. I wish you the best and take care bentaverne63gmailcom
That's nice seeing you have walks to, Leslie. Have you used a cane if need when you do walk? Sorry seeing you get over heated that can provoke them. Thankfully a friend would give me rides with him when went. Understand on when it's hot, that's why I walk my dog early mornings.
We have an Epilepsy Walk to raise funds and create awareness. My walking is not soemthini i can do well, and beconing overheated is a Trigger for me. Of course I do not drive, either. Many groups gave up on walks for Cancer, AIDS, and other problems. It took a lot of work to set up the route, and not much was raised.
