Does anyone else feel intoxicated when they take Oxcarbamine? It’s like being intoxicated without the fun stuff.

A lot of anti convulsants leave us feeling this way. I suggest eating with meds. And sleep the effects off. Talk to your doctor about it. Important.

@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member , I took Oxcarbazepine, the generic version of Trileptal, for years. Only one time do I think I probably had an issue with it & that’s when I got dizzy & also began crying for no reason at all. I contacted the doctor & he believed it was the Trileptal & so he adjusted my dosage & I was fine after that. If you’re experiencing uncomfortable side effects, then you could let your doctor know. Here is a link with information on the side effects. I hope things get better for you. 🙏 https://www.mayoclinic.org/drugs-supplements/ox... . Your friend in Texas, Becky

I was dizzy and nauseous with it but allergic to Tegretol. I couldn’t walk.
