It's understandable to feel concerned about how your condition may impact your ability to perform your current job duties going forward. The best approach is to have an open conversation with your manager or HR about your situation. Explain that your condition may require using a wheelchair full-time soon, making some of the physical job duties challenging. Ask if they can accommodate you with a different position that allows you to work seated once you start using a wheelchair. Emphasize your desire to continue contributing, and collaborate on finding a solution that works for both you and the company.

I’m with another supermarket company. Wasn’t real thrilled having to go back to retail after loosing my position I had with the government. It’s still early right now and what is going to happen. They are only averaging me about 20 hours a week which I’m not really thrilled about either four hours a day.
