I am curious about this ❓ I have recently been taking naps and what about the meds side effects and age etc, what do you think about it and your comment about it, does it or is it a factor in the condition you have?
Narcolepsy Is different classed as a sleep condition not so it's different from epilepsy. Would I say its a factor with my condition? Probably not. I do get "Narcolepsy like symptoms from meds eg. random sudden tiredness, unable to sleep (sometimes) But this is mainly due to the meds not narcolepsy.
I never had any issues with my medication and naps. My doctor said I am not supposed to take them due to the insomnia I have which is caused from my medical conditions. But as I have aged since, I’m finding it difficult to stay awake sometimes during the day. Now I see why my grandparents sleep in the afternoons 😂
I have this problem, all my life since I was diagnosed I have had trouble sleeping at night, I feel tired all the time at work and at home I sleep bed during day time than what I do at night, I was using sleeping medication but sometimes it would keep me up more than helping me rest, some nights it does work if I’m luck enough. Even after exercise or working all day I can’t fall asleep at night
I worked with a fella that said his dad had narcolepsy. Said his dad was healthy not taking any meds. One day his dad, without warning went to sleep while eating dinner. he said his dad's condition got worse to a point he had to quit driving and stop working. he said his dad could be anywhere when he would fall over. he didn't have a seizure, he went to sleep.
I got to bed late like 2 am on weekends on days around 11pm I normally take a nap in high-school I would take a nap I have no idea why
