Had a seizure earlier. My wife asked me what happened, I didn’t know as usual bevause I blacked out. actually didn’t start feeling wiped out until about an hour later, that’s when I realized I had one.

@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member,

It depends on the type of seizure for me. ( that could be immediately or even up to a couple of days. )
If I’m aware then obviously I know. Other times I can only guess. I live on my own and don’t have anybody to tell me if I’ve had a seizure or not when I am around others they generally tell me after I am consciously aware of what’s going on around me. And when they don’t, I’m usually in the ER room. I’ll go back and ask friends or family, whom ever I’m with at the time. if it’s a public place and I know the people that work there then I will ask them. I have to have a written documentation so I can tell my physician(s).

Sometimes I have an Aura before a seizure sometimes I don’t. Sometimes I’ll have an aura without a major seizure. All in all they are seizures and I document them all the time. Unaware I’m, unaware. I can only go by the residual effects after seizure. And I document that.
I hope that helps. Have a seizure free day.

It's dif per person, I think for me it depends on the seizure and such etc, sometimes I do remember I had one, and other times I wonder if I did, and sometimes someone will let me know about if I did at their call, and sometimes not, my opinion here

It takes me forever. I never can tell before or after I have a seizure. It will seem like I had a normal day and then someone will just tell me that I had a seizure earlier 🤷🏼‍♂️
