My BP has gone up in the last couple of years, since seizures returned. I’m scheduled to go see a cardiologist about my heart in August. However, my Dr told me I was drinking too much fluid because of the heat and that can cause them. He told me that I have to drink less than I was, and consume more sodium; drinking too much can dilute sodium and electrolytes in your blood, and the body needs some to make the meds effective! I believe you can buy electrolyte supplements in the pharmacy, so I would ask. Best wishes…

Dave High Blood pressure can start at any age there are many factors that Drs consider such as your activity level age gender race blacks tend and african americans tend to have higher blood pressure levels than whites and it starts in their early to mid twenties or thirties. whites tend to have a lower blood pressure levels and therefore it starts later in their lifespan around the age of forty.

It is preventable reduce your salt intake quit smoking and drinking walk at least 30 minutes before your meal or after limit your caffeine consumption to 2 cups of coffee a day.

Yes, I have had BP since my thirties but no medication. it is in my family. i was put on four different high blood pressure meds after the third grand mal seizure and was diagnosed with this condition. My BP was extremely high but my BP has gotten better since I lost weight and less monthly seizures.
