It's different for everyone. I was diagnosed with epilepsy when I was a baby and sugar was and still can be what triggers my seizures. I used to not be able to not drink a pop without having a seizure. Now is somewhat a different story . I still try to eat healthy and avoid eating alot of sugar but it does not effect me the same . My number one trigger is stress and when it gets really hot out I have more seizures.

My son is 22 years of age, he just got diagnosed with absent seizures 18 months ago, he had not had a seizure since then. The Dr said his main trigger is flashing lights beside the normal triggers like alcohol etc; I would just like to know why now, he never had a problem before that

Other than Alcohol and sometimes caffeine can trigger seizures, everyone is different with what foods may trigger seizures.

You just need to figure out what foods trigger yours. I’ve Read about a few people have seizures triggers from grapefruit . The best thing to do keep track of what foods you were eating more than one time , when you had a seizure while eating
