I been suffering from epilepsy for 15yrs but recently I became homeless so I start moving around which made it hard to see a doctor now that I'm stable I can't see one because there isn't no appointments available until 2 -6 months, I recently had a bad seizure but still can't see a neurologist. I do take medication but one of them is outdated but I can't stop taking it because I risk having another seizure, so I'm confused & don't know what to do? Call the Epilepsy Foundation. They helped me find a level 4 Epilepsy Center near me. They told me to walk in and tell them what was going on. Keep taking whatever medicine is still available. Get an appointment and keep it. 2 to 6 months ain't bad. If it is too bad, get to an urgent care. Also, clinicaltrials.gov may have clinical trials you could get into sooner than a neurologist. Keep at it. You've come this far and you're worth it. Keep posting. I've added you to my team.
Hi I live near Morgantown wv I go to Wvu hospital Ruby. If you can get a wv med card they are a great hospital with a great noroligeigy team great team of Dr's for epilepsy my Dr is awesome I was diagnosed in 2020 an air lifted and incubated but try to get approval for wvu hospital it's a great hospital as I said good luck have a awesome day
