Has Anyone Ever Taken A Double Dose Of One Of Their Meds By Mistake Even In Separate Compartments Of Easyour Pill Pack?
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

I got up not feeling too good. I took my morning meds. I always put my allergy pill and my second pill for seizures in the same pill pack to not take them at the same time as my morning meds. I was stuffy so I took my allergy pill, I made the mistake of taking the seizure pill at the time. I know I should put them in separate compartments. I have done this before. I forget so much lately.

Oh Cheryl. Been there, done that. Depakote got added to my list and since on it my memory is worse. It took me almost 2 months to get used to it. Double vision was not fun and it was not like I got to see a double of a handsome man or anything!
I put my AM, PM, and depakote in separate pill boxes now and set a timer on my phone. I am very sensitive to meds in general. About a month or go I had to call 911 since I took 2 doses by mistake and worried about a reaction. Lucky for me I did not need to go to the hospital. And I retired from one about 3 years ago!
Find a way to keep it all separate and whatever works for you.

It happened to me once after I had a seizure though ever since my son organized my medications by only putting my daily must take medication and on needed occasions apart to avoid this from happening again.

i told them i would call when I was about to begin using them. I threw out all the larger adapters, because they would not fit the smaller bottles, I would like to have many, because it is easier to not have to wash them and dty them out each time. Because they sent new ones with the large bottles each time, I had a very large number, and was not concerned.

Dave, Thank you. I am now doing business with a different Pharmacy, with different size bottles and Oral Syringes. I will need to talk in greater details. The other Specialty Pharmacy gave larger bottles. The Syringes and Adapters would not fit with the smaller ones.
