My 17yr old daughter just did a 24hr EEG and she had 75 xl spikes and xl events. Does anyone know what those mean?

the Spikes show when brain activity is affected by a seizure(s). The events are the duration & severity of a seizure. Like everything else, a neurologist can better explain exactly what it might mean.

It means you need to talk to the neurologist about treatment options.

I don't feel it is in my best judgement to share my opinion on this. I have seen my own EEG activity after a video EEG take place then given reasoning behind it. With that being said, I believe the answer to what is on the above EEG should be from your daughter's specialist that speaks to both of you openly and honestly. Stay strong for your daughter as she needs you, I wish you well. 💓

Some people that is normal if they have high brain activity. Also how it could say the potential of a seizure soon

I may suggest asking your doc or of the medical field about that and have them explain that to you, my opinion
