Grand mal seizures for 30 years. About 12 or so a year.
Make laminated cards of things that are important to you and always have them near your bed side to look at daily as a habit and reminder
I think it's dif per person, I can relate to your post, I don't have the mem i use too as growing up as a kid, I take into consideration what I was diagnosed with and I am ok with that, I give myself a 1 on a 3 scale being the best, I do have some of my memory I'll remember activity etc come out of the blue, then some people will ask me questions about things that recently took place a few weeks ago and don't remember, I understand though what you are saying, hang in there and try and stay pos, not your fault you have a disorder like every other person here and effects us differently, my opinion,
Thanks for the positive response. I was hoping for some magical supplement, remedy that could change things a bit. To me that may be the worst part of all these seizures. I know staying positive is the best way to handle things. There’s days that it’s just not that easy to do.
I do write most things down and it helps with some of the small stuff. But bigger memories, like things I’ve done with the kids, I can completely forget. It doesn’t matter how special that memory was.
I don't have grand mal seizures, but I still forget things every day. I focus on a schedule every day. I wake up by my phone that also rings to remind me to take meds, I take meds, shower, and then eat breakfast. It was hard to get that down. I would forget my meds most of the time. All I can say is that if worrying about what I forgot, I focus on what I do remember. When I do forget things, I sit down, take a deep breath, and tell myself to focus. Remember the good things, sometimes it helps, sometimes not. It is hard.
