I think that I am, i know that there is not a cure for, but I I've accepted mine and it does make it easier knowing what I have to deal with, what do you think and your thoughts about it?
I'm 47yrs and diagnosed at 19. It was awkward at first because it's like where this come from. I had seizures around alot of people in different situations, happy to say in last 4yr my dr. has help get better control of them.π
I am getting used to it and accepting that I have to creat a new normal for me and I agree attitude is incredibly important. Say I can, say I can't either way you're right. It's been challenging to accept all the things I can't do. Just flipping in my mind is a process ππ
I'd say yes. Like several, I donβt really think about it as I've had it all my life. Like @A MyEpilepsyTeam Member , I had great parents who raised me right, & I was # 3 of 4 brothers, & yes, brothers are brothers. Yes, it has its challenges. But you learn to adapt
I agree with all your comments and hang in there and try and stay pos
A relief to finally know what was causing all the weird feelings we were having. Neither psychic or crazy just a physical prob-epilepsy. Glad we have great meds to help like many conditions cause also unknown. Diabetes we know is pancreas prob, why unknown but can be helped w/insulin. So glad we have meds to help epilepsy. Best side of all is seizure control as well. My 50vrs of all types of seizures but still happy & healthy I'd take any day vs others.
