As an eeg tech it's going to just like the one at the hospital just keep in mind;
Wear a button down shirt or one that you want to wear for the duration of the test
You can't shower
You will carry around the box hooked up to the wires
You may have a camera that may require to be plugged in or have its batteries changed
Please document anything strange you feel event if you have an event button, document medications times, bedtime, awake time, events
If you have a camera you don't have to have it on you during private times just when chilling or sleeping.
Any problems just call your techs

I had the 72-hour EEG done at home last month. The most important thing to;
Is to remember to stick to your daily and nightly routines. The worst part of the test is the glue they use to keep the leads on. Also may feel weird when the laptop turns on so they can see where and what is happening at home. If they can't capture you on the monitor, they will call you to go in front of the laptop so they can reprogram on their end and to make sure everything is ok, To take off the leads lots of hair conditioner. Make sure to rub in good amounts on dry hair and work it in and then wash under warm water.

Just finished mine today. Try to keep your routine as normal and active as your real life. I had a lot of meal dates with friends for support. 2 helpful hints: 1) you can buy 3 pack head scarf off Amazon to cover the wires and look stylish 2) oil your hair down and brush to get the extra sensor glue off pain free when you are done (and your hair will be super soft). It’s gonna be weird but totally tolerable
