I would say I grew up being sheltered but even to this day I feel like I’m in a cage. I can’t go anywhere without someone else. I can’t even go out for a walk. I had a seizure one time and was found on the side of the street.
There is public transportation here but my son says that I'm not allowed to take the bus and I don't know this area.

I know what you mean. There is no public transportation where I live so I’m stuck in the house.
When I was growing up with seizures I was OK. As an adult I was taking the bus to where ever I needed to go. Recently I moved to an area that I don't know and my son says that I can't go anywhere by bus anymore and I feel locked up in the house.
@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member Sometimes my husband is overprotective and I will get kind of prickly about it. Then I realize that it is all because he loves me and wants me to be safe. But my husband is more protective than my parents.
