Almost every night, I struggle to get my off to sleep. I am always up half the night feeling over tired but cannot sleep or get into a comfortable place. I have tried, counting, music, medicating, do actives til nodding off etc. Nothing seems to work, I just want to use sleeping pills now, I am struggling to get myself through the day without feeling so tired.
am I the only one? do you think it is linked to our epilepsy?
I do suffer with anxiety and depression badly that doesn't help.
Hi @A MyEpilepsyTeam Member, you can actually stream audio to some hearing aids. For say the Oticon Bluetooth ones, you can stream anything and even use them for calls. For others, there are some microphone settings that can be used to listen.
Hi @A MyEpilepsyTeam Member
the only problem with listening to whatever to help, I am deaf in both of my ears and cannot hear a things once I have taken my hearing aids out.
I have ran out of ideas of what to do, I don't know how else to get myself to sleep or able to have an early night. I find everything so annoying.
Hi Lucy, I listen to audio books. A podcast may help as well. I find the voice of Alan Cross (Canadian Radio Broadcaster) very soothing. Except for some ads. My hours of walking a day and drifting to movies/videos didn't work for me.
I feel Stephen Fry is the best. He read the Harry Potter series and he has a sleep story on the app 'Calm'. There are sleep stories of his on YouTube as well.
