I Am A 42 Year Old Epileptic. My Seizures Have Never Been "controlled " Although I Do Go Through Spells Where They Are Definitely Better.
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

Recently I have started having hot flashes and I am pretty sure I am starting menopause . I am under an immense amount of stress (my son and my father were diagnosed with cancer last year, my son is now in remission. My father is not doing well). But I am wondering if anyone else noticed a worsening of seizures due to menopause? I went like three days of having pretty consistent hot flashes and tiny seizures

I became pre menopausal last year at 42 and started getting different seizures plus if I don't get cool fast enough if I start to overheat, I have a seizure. OB said no to start hormone therapy as my cycles are regular. 🤷‍♀️
