I’ve been narrowing down on when my seizures happen and I have found that they happen the week of my period. They are always grand mauls and last 10 seconds to one minute. I want to learn more about other women who experience the same thing.

I’ve been on clonazepam for almost two years now. I’m prescribed to take more two days before my period, but because I have an IUD it’s hard to track when my periods are coming. Especially the ones that don’t bleed at all haha

Yes I normally have them a day or 2 before. My husband and I started to track my periods and then he would know roughly when one was potentially coming

Yes I get the same thing I ammmuch more prone usually always every month even though I don’t get to bleed as I’m on the implant due to being on sodium valproate and also clobazam and clonazapam apparently it’s not unusual for females
To get seizures during their time of the month I hope you findna way to control them as I’m about to change meds as I know I have had other meds in the past control me better. One other thing since I’ve hit 30 I definitely noticed that my body is so sensitive to getting a seizure during the time of the month I’d suggest going to your neurologist as it’s not fair to have to worry about the stress of having to worry if you may have one it should control you regardless. All the best and contact me if you need to talk to someone:)

Hey, I have suffered from 2 grand Mal seizures in the past but they are under control with meds. I have auras and out of bodies now. I will have major increase increase in auras or out of bodies around my period and I know that it will be a heavy cycle to come.
I've asked about having a hysterectomy in the past but it will not help due to having to go on hormones anyways and that is the issue with me.
My pituitary gland and adrenals have been affected and we are trying different things to help.
I just need to be careful with the out of body because that can flip to a grand Mal if I'm not careful. CBD isolate under the tongue is a life saver for me!
