Just trying see if food aversions might be higher in this group. I can’t eat many foods because of the texture or because they touch on the plate. Realize this could just be me thing. But wondering all the same.
@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member don't apologize cause there was no arguing. i was just saying... there is stuff in your body that you can control and things that you can't. the problem is people think thay are intalerance in actuallaty thay are full blown (and vice virsa). and drs are pushing that gut surgery when all you need is a good diet plan.
I recently read a book called 'Brain Energy' by Dr. Christopher M. Palmer (I will always recommend to folks with any mental or Neurological disability), and one of the things he talks about is a ketogenic diet can help with epilepsy. Keto Diet is like fish, medditaranian food, and mostly stuff with less Trans fat or calories and not fast food. I'm "trying" to follow it but I have a weakness to Burgers xD. But there's other stuff in the book that is really resourceful and will help anyone learn more about themselves and their disability and how to better their situation.
@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member When I had it done the way it was explained to me was that it would either work or it wouldn't. Then even if it did it would probably have to be redone after 10 years. But I can only speak for hay fever. Doing this with food allergies is still a pretty new concept.
@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member I did a similar thing many years ago when I had tests related to hayfever allergies. They made up these special drops that I took for 6 months and the idea was to boost the immune system with elements of what I was allergic to.
@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member You are very right. I apologize if you think I was making light of your situation, that was never meant to be. I understand your position, allergies are much worse than aversions. Again many apologies.
