Does Your Engagement With Social Media Affect Your Epilepsy?
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

Yes! I left FB and all the rest of them in the dust. This is my only online place where I participate.

No, when I don't feel well, I just don't get on my laptop but no seizures due to social media.

Hey Margurite
Social didn’t have an adverse affect on my epilepsy. I’d decided awhile back to cut back on my time on my phone and computer even though social media plays a huge role in my job as a blogger.
I feel much better since making the decision to limit myself to one hour total a day. That means I have to make quick decisions on what’s important and what I respond to.
It also frees up so much more of my day for the other things I enjoy like music, writing and reading. If you find that social media is triggering your epilepsy just unplug for a couple of days and see if it helps.

My cancer dx is more significant than the epilepsy dx. I stay on fb to be sure I am up to date on the latest info to know what to ask my dr about. It is also a good place to visit with friends and see their picts.
