I thought drop seizures were actually clonic seizures, when your body suddenly loses all muscle tone, and therefore you lose all control of skeletal frame and drop to the floor, without any stiffening. But I know you can fall in any kind of seizure, depending upon the circumstances. And I thought tonic seizures are when you stiffen up.

i have broken a shower door, hit my head multiples times on the way down with the wall, the shower seat? things, and the bottom of the shower, i've fallen down a step onto the concrete, ..and it seems to never fail that i end up hitting the left side and back of my head on my way down..the same side that i got hit on from a tornado that almost killed me., well it did coz they had to breathe for me but that's nothing to do with the epilepsy. i think there was another time but right now i'm not sure....i'm chillaxin :)

I experienced 1 many years ago. Was folding clothes at kitchen table when happened. After going to be checked on at hospital, had to wear a neck brace for time. From hitting my head on table when fell ... don't recall having another. Seizures mainly had were grand mal, or complex partials.

Some of my epileptic seizures cause me to fall straight forwards or backwards without feeling any pain when I hit the ground or anything else.
