@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member it's an app that has medication reminders, helps you log your seizures, auras, side effects of you experience from your medications, when you log a seizure you can choose up to 10 different triggers which may have caused the seizure...at the end of the week, the app offers insights of the weeks activity and allows you to invite a doctor to view the insight (uptrend in auras, uptrend in different types of seizures, seizures based on what time of day, etc) and it also offers different material to read to learn more about epilepsy and how to deal with it, like Drug Resistance Epilepsy, epilepsy bracelets (if you're thinking about wearing one, it provides what the benefits are and where to obtain one, etc), different articles and such.
Hey JenMac what is a app epsy?
@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member I'm so sorry you're dealing with the mess too 😔 it's so stressful...hopefully you get your machine soon!
Unfortunately I am dealing with the same crap on the refills and doctors talking over you which is my new apnea doctor. Which has taken over a year for the testing and I still haven’t got the call for the machine delivery. I must not need it as much as they pounded in my head that I was killing myself by not going to get that tested. I’m sorry that almost all of us have to go through this stress mess. I myself have the granmal seizures which to me is the worse.
@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member my neurologist is old and very weird. He will interrupt you during a question and stuff like that. The last time I spoke with him was 3 months ago when he told me he was going to give me a referral to a university. I also told him I had about 2 weeks left of my Vimpat medication, and about a week and a half left of my Keppra, and he told me to call back the next week to remind him to send in a refill to the pharmacy and his office never answered their calls, we've tried going in person to the office at random times and they're always closed now. My friend has him for her neurologist and she gets appointments with him no problem. So I'm having to go through my primary care physician and had to sign a drug consent contract with them and drug test every 2 months just to get my medications refilled through my PCP. My PCP sent a referral to another Neurologist but they don't have an opening until January of next year. My journey has just been very... frustrating.
