Thank you Texas! My daughter moved home from the Dallas area after living (in Denton) for 8 yrs. I sure miss visiting there but what heat!! I think part of me must be Texan though because I sure love it. And miss going- I’ll pass along your info and thanks for the response

@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member It was actually the first thing they put me on for my epilepsy when I was really young (age 4) I have no idea what the dosage is for children but I think it starts at 10 then 50mg is seam as a max until you reach a certain age. Tbh I never got headaches unless I had a major seizure until a few years ago. They were really bad, but i did cut out a lot of sugar and they're now down to once per week. IDK if I had never gone on it the migraine issue would probably be a lot worse than it is now.

Thank you Jack for responding. How long have you been using it and did it take long to start seeing benefits?

Topamax is regularly used as a Migraine medicine as well as for seizures. I'm already on it for seizures and get a weekly migraine headache. the way my headaches are now yes they are bad but they would be a lot worse if I wasn't on Topamax.

@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member , Every medication can effect everyone differently but years ago when I growing up my Pediatric Neurologist put me on Topamax & it made me loose to much weight & so I got off it. I was possibly taking Zarontin & Mysolin at the time as well. When I was having some really bad headaches around that time, my Pediatric Neurologist gave me Botox.
