@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member. Thanks you have made me feel better. This testing I had last year brought up physogenic seizures. The I became overly sensitive I think. I stressed is a trigger and several of my seizures were during times of extreme stress. So I do wonder.

@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member This is interesting. I have heard FND before but I didn't know PNES fell under FND as of now. Interestingly. I know people who get PNES are generally diagnosed or seen as having a mental illness but it is now more known that PNES is a neurological problem.

@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member , Here is some information I got from one of the websites that came up on Google: “ Psychogenic non-epileptic seizures (PNES), which have been more recently classified as functional seizures, are events resembling an epileptic seizure, but without the characteristic electrical discharges associated with epilepsy.[2][3] PNES fall under the category of disorders known as functional neurological disorders (FND), also known as conversion disorders.[4] These are typically treated by psychologists or psychiatrists. PNES has previously been called pseudoseizures, psychogenic seizures, and hysterical seizures, but these terms have fallen out of favor.[5]

Psychogenic non-epileptic seizures
Other names
pseudoseizures, dissociative non-epileptic seizures, FNEA (Functional Non-Epileptic Attacks), NEAD (Non-epileptic Attack Disorder)[“. Your friend in Texas, Becky

@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member Epilepsy can be really strange sometimes. It is possible to have it but not pick up anything. The fact you see a Neurologist suggests they probably picked up something that favours this. It's also possible to have both. I'm currently going through a similar thing with mine I'm diagnosed with TLE, tc and Focal seizures. I was also having body jolts and twitching. The issue I have is that with my last EEG they got a lot of information but they also confirmed that the twitching and body jolts were of unknown cause. In other words, they don't show up on EEG.
