Hey everyone,
Does anyone know what the condition is called when you get both Focal and Generalised Seizures?
Just a FYI I'm really only trying to see if there is any official name for this.
Thank you.
@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member I just had a look at Focal Epilepsy (HCC) - Hierarchical condition category and it looks more like a risk assessment diagnosis. So while it probably is a diagnosis it is actually a risk assessment. Plus this only covers Focal epilepsy not general referring to Tonic Clonic.
@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member I've had it for 25 I had an assessment 10 years ago and it was Diagnosed as Focal and Generalized Tonic-clonic Seizures. But now I'm being reassessed by, a different neurologist and basically over a longer period and so far they of found that my condition may be different than first thought.
@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member I've never heard of this I will have to have a look. Thanks for this.

I have the same condition. Most now are focal seizures if I am awake. Pretty much all seizures during sleep are tonic clonic now, after having brain surgery it really messed with things up there.
How Do I Know What Type Of Seizure Do I Have Which I Was Born With?
Does Anyone Have Focal Aware Seizures?
