I was wondering can you have a clonic seizure on just one side ,I'm starting to have clonic seizures that always starts on my right side then it progresses to a tonic-clonic seizure.

question, are you aware when gaving this seizure? clonic seizures are generlized seizures (both sides of the brain). you are not aware when having those seizures and you are like jello (relaxing). tonic means stiff and you are not aware. tonic clinic mean are stiff and relax. a complex partial seizure or a simple into a complex partial seizure (one side is effective). you are aware of your area... and complex are sometimes mimicing tinic, clonic or tonoc clonic seizures.

Yeah as mentioned by other members, the seizure starts in one part of the brain and then spreads throughout the brain. It’s happened to me. I still have seizures even with medication but fortunately they prevent a full blown tonic clonic from occurring.

It doesn’t matter what side the seizures start . Once both Spheres of the brain end up with activity of seizures it still becomes a Tonic Clonic
