I’m on the generic brand of Ativan. The generic is called Lorazepam..yes, originally they are for anxiety . But they are great for slowing to completely stopping the seizures. Consider it a seizure recovery medication.

I myself take Lorazepam, only when needed. If I have more than one seizure that day with everyone with Epilepsy, it’s seizures recovery meds

Hello again Joan4, is the therapist you are seeing a psychologist or psychiatrist? If it is a psychologist, I recommend you ask your neurologist and psychologist for recommendations of
neuro-psychiatrists

My neuropsychiatrist prescribes me Clonazepam for anxiety and I also take an anti-depressant.
Joan4, are you seeing a psychiatrist or is your neurologist/epileptologist doctor prescribing you medication for anxiety? I highly recommend you find a psychiatrist that can work with you and listens to your medical history, to find the proper treatment. I also recommend you keep a lists of medications you have tried and include the manufacturer (MFG) which is on each medication bottle from a pharmacy.
Give time and trial to find what works for you! Sending positive vibes
