Everyone reacts to different medications in different ways, don't take your Dr's word for it being 'safest for you'. Keep a diary of changes to your behaviour and body because further down the line if your memory is affected you will have nothing to discuss regarding the effectiveness of that med. Ask your nearest & loved ones also if they have detected any serious changes, it's not always easy to judge for yourself. Monitor children on medication closely, they don't always have the language to discuss the changes or side effects happening to them. It's good to hear that medicine can work for some, but others can have serious side problems.

I take Keppra. Dr says it’s one of the safest drugs to be on long term. I was on lamotrigine but found I was allergic to it. Never been on vimpat.
