Has Anyone Had Success With Clobazam As An Added Medication For JME? And Did It Help.
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

My daughter is on lamictal. We are at a pretty high dose. But we still have issues with her Myoclonic jerks from her JME. We are controlling big seizures. But hoping that this will help these morning Myoclonic stop.

I'm on Keppra and Clobazam was added to get me through the night. I take it right before I go to bed at night. I've been seizure free for 2+ years now since Clobazam was added.

@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member. She has gotten her blood work done every jump up in medication with lamictal once it hit the 500 mg mark. She's been all great on all her labs. And still had room to up with the lamictal. We are hoping that with the added medication to help these Myoclonic jerks that we can move down on her lamictal. Since she has had great seizure coverage for her tonic seizures. It's was just trying to get rid of her jerks that has been the issues. But this is what we are praying for. And I'm so glad that it has worked for you. Everyone is their own individual. But we remain hopeful that this will help. Thank you.

@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member I was put on this but only for 3 days after a TC seizure this was combined with Carbamazepine and Topiramate

I’ve been on lamictal for about twenty years and clobazam for about 10 years, and I’ve been seizure free since then. But it all depends on your individual epilepsy, your liver metabolism, and where and how the seizures affect your brain. For me the clobazam was a Godsend, as nothing had fully controlled them for any length of time before then.
