Do you think having a seizure disorder makes you less able to handle stress then someone who hasn't got a seizure disorder?
I find I can't handle stress like my body can't tolerate it I wasn't like that before when I was healthy and seizure free.

@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member I have done some research on how the cerebellum can affect emotions and since I do have a cerebellum dysfunction it makes sense as to why I feel this way and why I can't handle certain emotions ,it can also lead to social withdrawal which I've definitely been experiencing.
Music is the answer for me.
Its peaceful and in some ways is understanding.
Stress is a trigger for seizures so it is hard to live with. It does not matter how old a person gets. Any negative emotions are not beneficial for a person that has epilepsy, Unfortunately seizures are one of the things that bring negative emotions out of a person. People do not want to have epilepsy and hate having epilepsy and all the parts that go along with it: taking medication, blood tests, Dr.Appointments etc. Worrying about having a seizure at important times and places is or can be emotionally and physically exhausting.
yes and no... stress is a big trigger but epilepsy is 40+ types and kinds. i can handle stress without a seizure... but i have food seizures.
