Anyone Ever Get A Rash From Medication Side Effects?
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

I take xcopri, lamotrigine, clobazam, clonazapam, and zonisamide. They recently changed some dosages, and yesterday i woke up with a rash all up my arm. Its happened before but a small one on my leg. I’m 92% sure its from my medication so any comments would be appreciated🙏🏼💜

I'm sorry you are on all those meds. I would definitely speak with a Dr about your situation. Most likely I'd say it was a couple of those meds having a reaction with one another. It seems common that meds will do something like this. I've had my Dr put me on meds with horrible side effects. He told me that he was just trying to cure what ever was going on. Then we could deal with the other problems. And I'm just thinking I really don't want to be on tons of meds like that. I've been fortunate to only be on 2 meds for seizures. God bless.

You should consult your Dr promptly concerning any rashes with medication.

Hi Emilyanne, IMHO the best advice (as mentioned by others) is to give this info to your Dr. Sometimes when multiple drugs are used together a negative reaction happens & new drug strategies are sometimes required.

Good afternoon I agree with you about the different medications.
However, to have a doctor say he just wants to see what happens when he prescribes different drugs is like being a lab rat for both Doctors and manufactures
Don't get me wrong I have the same issue.
The different side effects take its toll on myself personality.
It's simply guess work.
The manufactures of these drugs have come a long way. The present drug I am on works with only sleeping issues.
It took 10yrs of trial and error to find a drug that works for me.
Have a blessed holiday season
