My Dr gave me the most sensible answer. Be consistent whatever you do. If you have a cup in the morning, have it every day…weekends included
It works for me…

I never heard that, although I heard if you have high BP you shouldn't. I used to drink 6 cups/day, & only ran into issues when I was in a high stress deadline, as it would raise my BP above my already high BP. I eventually cut back on coffee. But I'd check w/ your Neurologist.

That's a very ingesting statement.I just read online that there might be a problem with caffeinated drinks they may trigger seizures.according to what I read it may or may not trigger Seizurws .the article said it wasn't a specific reason why.had no clue

The last 3 focal seizures that I had (Sept, Dec, Jan) I did not have coffee that morning. I’m not saying that coffee/caffeine contributes or not contributes to seizures. I do t always drink coffee and don’t always have seizures. I feel that my last 2 seizures were due to stress with a death in our family and then my dad having another heart attack on Christmas night.

I would suggest having someone around if you have caffeine

@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member I am glad you asked that question. My neurologists have told me to stay away from caffeine. However, after some research the National Library of Medicine is not so sure: "At present, there is no evidence to advise people with epilepsy against the use or overuse of caffeine. Until clinical studies suggest otherwise, caffeine intake should be considered as a factor in achieving and maintaining seizure control in epilepsy.May 14, 2019"
