Has Marijuana Helped You With Your Seizures?
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

I’m using marijuana tonight for the first time to hopefully help calm or even stop my seizures. I’m not expecting a miracle, but hoping for some relief. Seizures while I’m sleeping are the worst for me. I’m on three meds but really hoping this might be of some benefit. How has it affected any of you who have chosen this path? Positive or negative? Thanks for your input and support! ❤️

Marijuana doesn't help my epilepsy seizures it actually makes it worse with my epilepsy seizures and goes straight into a Grand-mal seizure and it has stopped my heart 3 times!!! So depending on what kind of epilepsy seizures you have or any other kind of seizures it might help but most likely it won't!! Marijuana helps with some cancer diseases but it doesn't help with seizures!!! God Bless 🙏🌷

I smoke weed on the daily to help with my seizures and it keeps them at bay for the most part.
Get weed with high amounts of CBD and low amounts of THC. Sativas won't typically make you tired, but I smoke a lot of indicia as it makes you a bit more tired.
All depends on the individual. It's been known to be extremely effective for most individuals.
Good luck!!!

I use Epidiolex witch is pure CBD oil and Vape THC for Anxiety. Both forms of medication/marijuana both seem to help with my Seizure activity to a high extent, but the main "somewhat" solving power to my epilepsy is the medication called "Vimpat" precribed by My doctor. Without the two 150mg tablets I take every morning and night of Vimpat and taking them exactly 12 hours apart from eachother and not being off by more than 60 seconds, then I would be having seizures on a regular basis like I used to. Now that I have the correct meds and I take them on time to the tee, and I sleep as well as possible and that is much better recently and is with my medication, and I drink water and eat well " bad with the water", and I just do My Best to take care, then I won't have a Seizure take place. I also don't drink alcohol. The Up and most imortant part of the Process is taking my medication exactly on time... that'd be a must do for myself! It wouldn't mean a thing if I hadn't of gone through the EEG and found out that the medication Vimpat was most definetly needed to stop a seizure from coming on. It may not be the only problem solver, but Vimpat is the main "If Not... Real" source of Epileptic Positivity for myself and that positivity would come from not having a Seizure take place. Only "Time" Will Tell! Back to the main point... Yes... Marijuana definetly helps Me get through Epilepsy!
