Medicine, Cannabis Or Seizures Itself?
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

I’ve noticed for years now my dreams are very vivid and i am wondering whats causing those. Are any of you who doesn’t do CBD notice your dreams seem so real from just taking seizure medicine? And those who does do CBD notice your dreams have become more vivid after doing CBD?
So what im asking is did these dreams become more vivid from just being epileptic or from taking seizure medicine or Cannabis is causing it?

I have had very vivid dreams for as long as I can remember and I've been epileptic since childhood. I was on cannabis years ago and now on cbd and have had no change in my dreams.

i have both, i have seizure meds since i was a kid (30+ years ago) and i just started cbd oil (5+ years ago).
cbd does not have any side effects (that i know of). cbd with thc... then you have the side effects.
some seizure meds do have weird and/or scary dreams. i know for a fact that i have weird and sometime vivid dreams when i take my night time meds.

I have experience with a medication in the past, that increased my dreams from 1 maybe 2 dreams a night, to 3 - 4 dreams a night. It was like I was watching different movies with different genres.
There were
The Nightmares
Happy dreams
The Weird and Unusual dreams
Vivid Dreams
Dreams created from a TV show the someone is watching during my sleep.
And others Genres

When I was taken off it , I stopped have so many dreams when sleeping. I was back down to 1 maybe 2 dreams.

ToChauHuynh, I believe mine have become more vivid than before the seizures started, although less so as I get older. However, I think it depends on which meds you are on. I definitely think the CBD oil helped make my dreams seem more real. That’s been my experience, anyway.

I have Nervious Bladder. A Urogynecologist prescribes it. She also prescribed physical therapy, which also helps. As for dreams, i do not remember mine.
